With Common Core coming to the state of Michigan and elsewhere across the United States, I found this article to be helpful for thinking about next year. It provides good tips on how to use the Common Core and links to use in your classroom, I personally love rubistar4teachers.org. My district has been pushing informational reading in the classroom and it is something I am going to try and incorporate more of next year!
Good article! I particularly like the section on teaching argument over persuasion. Thank you for sharing.. also into finding resources and new ways to push these things and align the Common Core
ReplyDeleteI also found this article pretty helpful! Thanks for sharing; I have shared it with my school improvement committee, as we are focusing heavily on the Common Core for next year. I agree with MsPage that the section on teaching argument over persuasion is important...a lot of people don't realize the difference!
